First fundraiser of the year!
MertonVision Rave Saturday 13th January 2018
Wow! What can we say!
Thanks to two amazing DJ’s, a sound and lighting crew second to none, a brilliant set up team, The Glitterballs face artists, neon painters, volunteers and ravers who came along to support us to raise funds for MertonVision.
Clients and people from all over London came to join in and show us their moves and get glittered up!
Mums and dads brought their kids along to introduce them to a new kind of music and the kids danced their little socks off.
We were also joined by some of the children from EyeCanDoIt who got glittered up ready for their Circus Skills workshop that followed the Rave!
We managed to raise an incredible £433 to help MertonVision to continue with our excellent service.
One of the organizers from Morning Gloryville, (an alcohol free rave that is held at The Ministry of Sound) was present and was really impressed with the music played by Dino Neutrino Ciancamerla and Dolan. They took us to other places with their music.
We intend to introduce more fun and interesting socials and activities here at MertonVision and welcome all to come along and join us. Other sight loss organisations are most welcome.

Low Vision Clinic
When spectacles no longer help you to see properly, a low vision aid or magnifier may help. The aim is to maximize the remaining vision that you have, using a range of magnifiers, telescopes or other equipment which are prescribed and dispensed by an Optometrist.
Using a suitable magnifier could help you read print and not have to wait to ask someone to read it for you! It may help you to check ‘sell by’ dates, cooking instructions, read correspondence and also labels when you go shopping.
If you would like to attend this clinic, the only criteria is that your sight is sufficiently poor that you need to use a magnifier for reading etc., and you have had a sight test at a high street opticians within the last year (even if you have been told that you are sight impaired and nothing can be done). Our Low Vision Clinic is usually held on the first Tuesday of the month, just give us a call to make an appointment.
