Do you have the skills we’re looking for?
MertonVision is looking for new trustee who can bring new skills, perspectives and experience to its management board.
The person we are looking for will themselves be a deaf or a hard of hearing person and/or have personal or professional experience of deafness.
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping our strategic direction and ensuring our work truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the Deaf community. Your lived, personal, or professional experience of deafness will bring invaluable insight to our Board, helping us make informed, empathetic, and impactful decisions. You will be a voice for inclusion at the highest level, influencing how we design services, advocate for change, and measure our success.
You must be able and willing to contribute to the shaping and development of the organisation by taking an active part in Board meetings and by supporting its work in other ways as appropriate.
MertonVision are a long-established, highly regarded, local sight-loss charity offering much needed support to visually impaired children and adults living in Merton.
We are now excited to announce we are opening our services and support to people living with Hard of Hearing / Deaf, residing in Merton. We are keen to expand our reach and impact for those with Sensory Loss by increasing the diversity of the board with additional experience in income generation and commercial performance.
You would be joining a forward-looking team whose aim is to help more Sensory Loss people fulfil their potential. The position is voluntary and unpaid.
