The session will cover:
- An update on the Vaccination programme
- Hear your views on accessing local services. We have heard that there is still some anxiety about returning to settings. What barriers might be people be facing?
- Discuss changes to renal services (below)
The way in St Helier and St George’s provide care for kidney patients could change from 2025.
Kidney doctors from St Helier and St George’s Hospitals have developed a proposal to improve kidney care and instead of continuing to have inpatient kidney care at two hospitals, they would like to bring this together in a single new unit at St George’s Hospital. This would mean changes for kidney patients when they need overnight care in hospital and a small number of outpatient appointments.
Engagement on these proposals will start at on Tuesday 27th July 2021 and last for six weeks until 7th September 2021.
We know that Chronic Kidney Disease can affect lots of people. As part of the engagement on these proposals, we would like to hear your views to help shape the future of kidney services.
